Danny Brooks & Lil Miss Debi are Musicianairies and have toured extensively throughout North America the past 15 years, performing Southern Soul Music with a message. Their 12 CD’s have been well received in the industry (working on #13) earning many nominations and a few wins. Overcoming failure, addictions,and incarceration, their life stories and experiences are entwined in the songs they write and perform regularly in nightclubs, festivals, churches, rehabs and prisons. 2nd Corinthians 2:14 is their calling card, sharing wherever.
As an author of 3 published books in the Miracles For Breakfast Series, with a 4th book, The Lonely Battle to be published later this year, their mandate is to share a positive and inspiring message, that all things are not only possible, but everyone is salvageable no matter how far down you have fallen. The 1st book in the MFB Series “How Faith Helped Me Kick My Addictions,” published by John Wiley & Sons, and later acquired by HarperCollins, shows beyond any shadow of doubt, that God is no respecter of persons!
The following 2 books in the MFB Series “The Journey Continues,” and “Supernatural Thinking,” have been endorsed by renowned Motivational Author/Speaker Denis Waitley whose book Seeds of Greatness impacted Danny’s life, putting him on the path leading to his faith. The latest book Supernatural Thinking, in many ways helped to shape this music motivational presentation. Amazing revelations were discovered writing this book; think about this: we are made in ‘Their Image,’ God wants us to lean not on our own understanding! What an invitation to think supernaturally and keeping John 14:12 in mind!
Debi was working for the Canadian Securities Institute of Canada which trains those who run the Toronto Stock Exchange, when she first met Danny as a performer in Toronto Canada in the 80’s; the steadfastness required for such a position, she would need, when confronting Danny with the issue of going into rehab (not an easy thing to do) and the crucial two year re-build. Being in the music industry did not make it any easier on either of them, but Debi stood her ground not brokering even a fraction of an inch to enable! While moderate, Debi stopped drinking and doing drugs! On live shows Danny always mentions that between God and Debi’s cast iron frying pan, he’s remained clean and sober all these years! Clean since April 8th, 1987, entering the Donwood Rehabilitation Clinic, Toronto Ontario Canada.
Now imagine a presentation that is equal parts, music concert, music therapy, marriage counseling, with motivationally inspiring songs and testimonials of overcoming failures through principals and attitudes shared throughout the presentation. Danny and Debi have a passion and a burden to share how they discovered a life of joy amidst the storms of life! There are some very soulful moments but also many that will make you laugh!
This presentation works well in increments of 30, 45, 60 or 75 minutes. Also, apart from their duo which they have been compared to a 4 or 5 piece band due to the multiple instruments they play (7 guitars in various tunings/harp-rack/bass-stomp-board and Debi’s assorted percussive instruments and both singing) and can add musicians all the way up to a 12 piece band.

Danny and Debi have both recently became proud American citizens, and before leaving Canada December 30th 2010, they were part of the Pentecostal Assemblies in Canada, and Danny became a regular guest artist on 100 Huntley Street/Crossroads Christian TV in Burlington Ontario Canada. They now are members of the Llano Cowboy Church attending since their arrival in Texas in 2009, when they were getting established, before moving. They share music on a regular basis and Pastor Stacey Nobles has Danny preach from time to time.
They love their audience as much as they love to share the Greatest Story Ever Told and have many miraculous events to share! Ecclesiastes 5:3 states “A dream comes through much activity….” Danny and Debi Brooks want to encourage people to “Dream with their sleeves rolled up! “. With God, All things are possible!
